Action Plan
Action Plan
This Excel document shows evidence of my final action plan. An action plan is a plan that includes all of the tasks that a film producer has to complete during the pre-production process to be able to successfully produce a film, it also should include how long each task would usually take to complete. Most of the time film producers, include a target date on when the want to start each task because that will help them stay organised and productive. Some film producers also make note on if a task relies on another task to be completed, this way they know they cannot start a certain task if they have not completed the other. An action plan is essential for every film producer because it displays the plan for their whole pre-production and organises the entire process in a way that is easy to understand and read. It also helps a film producer stay on track and on schedule which is essential because If a film producer falls behind schedule or forgets to complete a task then the whole production of their film could be delayed and therefore delaying the desired release date of their film. I completed this action plan on Excel because it is able to organise large sets of data in an orderly manner and therefore made it easier and quicker to produce. This positively impacts myself and will help me towards making my own film production because I will remember each task and also understand the extent and extremity of each task and how long they all take, I also have now documented which tasks rely on another and how I need to do one task before another should be completed. My action plan is very professional and resembles the industry standard levels of action plans as it is very clearly layed out and organised and I have incorporated everything such as timings and reliance. However, there is no specific way to create an action plan and a lot of film producers make their own differently to others, it all depends on what works for them.
