Initial Action Plan #2

Initial Action Plan

This documentation is evidence of my very second rough copy of an action plan including everything that I initially assumed is included during the preproduction process after I discounted irrelevant or unnecessary factors from my very first rough action planAn action plan is a plan that includes all the tasks that a film producer has to complete during the pre-production process to be able to successfully produce a film, it also should include how long each task should take to complete. Most of the time film producers, include a target date on when the want to start each task because that will help them stay organised and productive. Some film producers also make note on if a task relies on another task to be completed, this way they know they cannot start this task if they have not completed the other. An action plan is essential for every film producer because it displays the plan for their whole pre-production and organises the entire process in a way that is easy to understand and read. It also helps a film producer stay on track and on schedule because If a film producer falls behind schedule or forgets to complete a task then the whole production of their film could be delayed and therefore delaying the desired release date of their film - however, at this first initial stage I only included the tasks that I thought should be completed during the pre-production process and I didn't include how long each task will take. I completed this on paper first because it is an easy method of quickly writing down my thoughts before I forget and can be easily edited by crossing thoughts or words out or adding more ideas in. I left prop/costume/makeup list highlighted because I still wasn't sure if that is involved within the pre production process, however, now I know that creating a list of all props/costumes/makeup products needed whilst filming is important. This copy of a rough action plan is impactful towards my final production because I can see everything that I think needs to be completed in one place, so I do not forget anything. If I did not complete an action plan then I may forget to complete a task and then my production of my film may be delayed and therefore delaying the production of my final film. This is not very professional or organized but is something that most producers complete and do before completing the professional action plan that I will do next.
