Film Idea #2
Film Idea
This pre-production documentation is evidence of one of my film ideas that I have completed roughly on paper, including important things when creating a film such as the plot synopsis, film genre, location, genre conventions, characters, target audience and if the film is going to be a short film or a full length film. I completed it on paper as it is a really easy way of writing down all my thoughts and ideas quickly in one place whilst brainstorming them, it also means that I can cross out ideas if I change my mind or get a better idea for a film. This happens before creating a film treatment because you can easily change things about your film idea and the story line at this point and also you can create multiple ideas and then choose the best one. This documentation has a massive impact on my final production as it is what I base the entire script, cast, storyboard and genre conventions on. Also, a initial film idea starts the whole pre-production process because if you have the right resources and enough budget you can start to create your film. It is an important part of the pre-production process as it gives me a stable layout of what will happen in my film and what it will look like. This documentation isn't very professional or at industry standard, but most film producers will write their first thoughts of a film or documentary on paper before creating a film treatment, script or storyboard, so it is important.
